Artist Javier Ramos Salazar, was born in Ajijic Jalisco (Mexico), a town on the north side of Lake Chapala.  He studied Industrial Design at the University of Guadalajara for many years, however, at the age of 22 he began to paint under his own direction.  Javier is a self-taught artist with skills in a variety of mediums including pastel, acrylic, pencil, carbon, oil, and water colour. While Javier paints a wide varitey of themes, his work in still life  and portraits are highly sought after.  Javier continues to paint professionally and teach painting classes to locals and expats on a regular basis. He is living in Ajijic with his family.
